MIKE HENDERSHOT
FINISHES 2009 SEASON WITH TOP TEN AND 8TH PLACE
IN POINTS FOR MODIFIED DIVISION AT NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY
Mike Hendershot, driver
of the #80 WNAG Realty Used Auto Dealer Multiplex knew going
into the final night of modified action that the competition
would be tough. The Hackettstown, New Jersey driver was set
to finish the season in the top ten in points. Sitting on
the edge in 10th place in the points race,
Hendershot starting second in his heat looked to qualify for
the 30 lap Championship Night which included double points.
Battling with some of the toughest competitors, Mike drove
his #80 modified and finished fourth in his heat. The
competition would be intense for the 30 lap modified
feature. With everything on the line, Hendershot was
determined to make his season complete by finishing in the
top ten in points. Mike started fourth in the modified
feature and quickly went to second behind Ron Jon Koczon.
After numerous caution laps, the feature finally went
caution free for several laps which saw Hendershot battling
to stay in the top ten. On lap 22 Hendershot noticed the
engine sounding different and hoped to finish the 30 lap
feature. With intensity and determination, the 21 year
veteran of dirt modified racing looked strong and battled
for the final eight laps finishing in the 10th
spot. By finishing in the 10 position, Mike moved up two
spots from tenth to eighth in the points battle. The last
time Mike finished in the top ten was the year 2000. Mike
and the team are thrilled with their 2009 season. Mike
feels that consistency was the key to this successful
season. With a string of top ten and fifteen finishes, he
was able to achieve the goal of finishing among the ten best
at New Egypt Speedway. It is an accomplishment he is very
proud to obtain. Hendershot Motorsports would like to thank
everyone who has supported them, rooted for them, and the
well wishes. It has been a fun and exciting season for
everyone involved.

MIKE
HENDERSHOT SAILS IN ANOTHER TOP TEN FINISH ON BEACH NIGHT
Mike
Hendershot was having a ball on Beach Night at New Egypt
Speedway on August 8, 2009. Hendershot started fourth in
his heat and moved up into the third spot battling some
tough competition, by lap 3 of the ten lap heat race. The
Hackettstown native started 9th in the thirty lap
feature. The beginning laps of the feature were thrilling
seeing Mike battling three and four wide in the turns.
Hendershot and the other competitors were lightening fast on
the track, bunching the cars together. Mike drifted back to
thirteenth by lap fifteen but quickly battled back into the
tenth position. Tim Tanner Jr. and Mike Hendershot ran side
by side for the last two laps. On the last lap in the
fourth turn, Hendershot drove past Tanner taking the ninth
position. Hendershot was pleased with another top ten
finish but can only wonder might be have been. The team
discovered a flat left front tire back in the pit area.
Mike reports noticing a difference in the car’s handling
around lap 22. The #80 WNAG, Troyer race car still was able
to pass cars on the track with the flat tire. Mike would
like to thank his crew for all of their hard work last
night. Mike and Hendershot Motorsports are looking forward
to another great night of racing next Saturday, August 15,
2009 for Women on Wheels Night at New Egypt Speedway.

ANOTHER SOLID FINISH FOR
HACKETTSTOWN’S MIKE HENDERSHOT
Mike Hendershot and
Hendershot Motorsports turned in a solid finish with an
ill-handling race car. Looking to turn around from a last lap
wreck on July 18, 2009, Mike Hendershot was confident about his
4th place start in the heat race. Unfortunately, the
car was having handling problems which led to a disappointing 10th
place finish. Mike and the crew worked feverishly to diagnose
the problem. Starting 10th out of 15 cars in the
consolation race, Hendershot was determined to qualify. With 21
years of racing experience, Hendershot motored the #80 WNAG
modified to a fifth place finish. The team never gave up and
started 22nd in the 30 lap feature. Mike drove hard
and was determined to make the best of the night. With his
never give up attitude, Mike slowly worked his way through the
field and came home with a satisfying 11th place
finish for having an ill handling car. Mike and the team were
never wavering in their persistence to come out with a strong
finish despite the troubles that plagued them. Mike and the team
are looking ahead to Friends of Mike night on August 1, 2009
with a $10, 000 pay out. This night is very special to the
team as it is a night for the drivers in honor of a dedicated
fan who passed away from cancer. All money donated for laps and
purses plus the Chinese Auction go back to the racers.
Hendershot Motorsports will be donating a gift basket to the
Chinese Auction as they support this great night of racing.

HACKETTSTOWN’S MIKE
HENDERSHOT SCORES an 11th PLACE FINISH
Mike Hendershot and
Hendershot Motorsports of Hackettstown, New Jersey placed
another top 15 finish at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, June
27, 2009. After having off for two weeks due to rain, Mike
Hendershot was ready for another night of exciting
competition. Mike started fourth in his heat race but due to
contact from another competitor finished seventh. The #80 dirt
modified looked strong in the heat despite the finish.
Determination again led the Hackettstown native to qualify in
the consolation race. Mike started second and led the way to a
win in the consolation race. Hendershot knew he would have to
be strong in the 30 lap feature starting 19th in the
pack. Some of Hendershot’s top finishes have been from the back
of the pack. Mike picked off competitors through the caution
filled feature. Hendershot used both the high and low grooves
of the New Egypt Speedway track. By the time the checkered
flag, dropped Mike was in 11th place and on the tails
of the 8th, 9th, & 10th place
competitors. At the end of the feature, Mike stated, “With just
a few more laps, I could have passed the last pack of cars.”
The 11th place finish moved Hendershot from 12th
to 10th in the points chase at the track. Hendershot
and the team felt really positive about the night’s results and
look forward to next Saturday at New Egypt Speedway for the
Tri-Track Series race-“Yankee Classic 40”.

TOP FIVE FINISH FOR
HACKETTSTOWN’S MIKE HENDERSHOT
The Hackettstown driver
of the #80 dirt modified, Mike Hendershot followed up last
week’s ninth place finish with another exciting top five.
Track conditions at New Egypt Speedway were ideal for Mike
Hendershot on Saturday’s Scout Night. The Troyer Race Car
of Hendershot started third in the second of three heat
races. Competing with some fierce competitors in his heat,
Mike drove his car to a solid third place finish. Hendershot
felt very confident about the car for the feature event.
When the green flag flew, Hendershot started in the fourth
position. After losing some spots on the restarts, Mike kept
the WNAG #80 modified in the top ten. On lap 20 a six car
crash put Mike in the fourth position. The last ten laps
were fierce as Mike Hendershot tried to move to the front.
Mike stayed with the front runners and finished the 30 lap
feature in the fifth position. After the race, Hendershot
was very excited about the progress the team has made with
his Lineman Racing-Troyer Race Car. Mike Hendershot and the
Hendershot Motorsports team is looking forward to another
exciting night at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, May 23,
2009 for a Tribute to the Military Night.

Mike Hendershot
Completes a Bumpy Night with Top Ten Finish
Mike Hendershot, driver
of the #80 Hendershot Motorsports dirt modified could be a
called a survivor in a very rocky, caution-filled feature on
Saturday night at New Egypt Speedway. Starting third in his
heat, Mike became victim to a very bumpy race track on lap
one. The large rut in turn four lifted his car off the
ground where he came to a complete stop. This 21 year
veteran was very lightening fast in the consolation race.
Mike started ninth in the consi and passed three cars in the
first lap. The Hackettstown driver looked very fast and
finished fourth in the consolation race. The team made some
changes before the feature hoping to survive the very bumpy
track conditions. The thirty lap feature saw Mike
Hendershot starting in the 22nd position and
unfortunately became victim to the track conditions with a
flat tire. The crew quickly got him back out on the same
lap. This driver’s experience showed through on this night
by trying to stay in the high groove passing cars. Lap 17
would be unlucky as Hendershot experienced another flat
tire. The Hendershot Motorsports team got him back out one
lap down. With his tenacious driving style and a
caution-marred feature, Mike moved his way up to a ninth
place finish. The Hackettstown driver was very happy with
this finish after having to visit the pits twice during the
feature event. Mike would like to especially thank his crew
for their hard work and determination on this long evening.
The team will return to action next Saturday night at New
Egypt Speedway for Cub Scout Night.

Mike Hendershot Starts
Season with Top Ten Finish
Mike Hendershot of
Hackettstown, New Jersey took what looked like to be a bad
night to a great night with a top ten finish in the 30 lap
feature at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Mike
started on the pole in the second modified heat and due to some
mechanical problems was forced to run the consolation race.
Determined to fight back into the feature, Mike and the
Hendershot Motorsports Team worked hard to fix the issues and
qualified through the consolation race. This team has a “Do Not
Quit Attitude” and made some major changes to the #80
Hendershot Motorsports modified for the feature. Starting 24th
in the feature, Mike looked to work his way through the field.
The 30 lap feature was marred with a few crashes and close calls
for Hendershot whose smart driving style led him to avoid those
wrecks. By the halfway point, Mike was up into the top 15. The
changes made during the night paid off for Hendershot as he
finished the feature in the 9th position. Mike
gained 15 positions in a very wild feature using both the high
and low groove on the New Egypt Speedway track. Hendershot
Motorsports was very happy with the results after the problems
they encountered earlier in the evening. Mike would like to
thank the entire team for their hard work and determination.
On Tuesday, April 28, 2009
Mike Hendershot will be participating in the Belvidere
Elementary Schools “Camp Read” Night sponsored by the Belvidere
PTO and Education Association. Mike will be a guest reader for
this fun-filled community event. The program runs from 6-7:30pm
at the Oxford Street Elementary School.
